Muslims in Thailand celebrate the Eid al-Fitr holiday celebrated on Sunday 24th May.

Eid al-Fitr is an important holiday for Muslims worldwide, marking the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. During this pandemic, Muslims in Thailand practiced social distancing by keeping at least one meter apart during the prayers and followed safety procedures while entering religious places. There are health officers, and volunteers stood by the gate to check the temperature and provide hand sanitizing gel before entering the Mosque.

Chularatchamontri Aziz Pitakkumphol (Muslim spiritual leader of Thailand) sent a new year message to all Muslims, praising them for helping people of all religions and ethnicities suffering from Covid-19. "I wish Allah to give all Muslims and all Thais good health and wish all Thais and Thailand, as well as all countries in the world, protection from Covid-19" on his Facebook page.
